About

Solar Observing Session

Take a closer look at our nearest star, the Sun using our impressive 14" Meade Telescope with a solar filter.

You'll be able to look at the ever-changing sunspots on the solar disc, whilst our astronomers discuss the physics and other aspects of what's on view. We will also use our Coronado Telescope to examine the Sun in crimson light, view explosive prominences and other features. See the Sun as never before!

Remember: You should never observe the Sun directly or with any optical apparatus that has not been fitted with a proper solar filter. Serious eye damage can result from even a brief glimpse of our nearest star.
