Journey through nature and spark your imagination all year round. A diverse 176 hectare woodland offering gentle trails and an unparalleled experience for both young and old on the outskirts of Pomeroy, thought to be the highest village in Ireland. Magical trails featuring 18 nature-based sculptures that offer an interactive Giant experience and memorable adventures with wonder and discovery for all ages.
An impressive new visitor centre at Pomeroy Forest serves as a shared community building and offers a large multi-use space, complete with retractable seating for approximately 150 people, two multi-purpose rooms, a coffee dock area, toilets, changing facilities and kitchen.
Follow the colour coded trail waymarked discs on the wooden posts located throughout the park.
Renardine Nursery Trail
The Blue route, Starting beside the Pomeroy Forest Park Building, this trail leads past 6 of the Nursery Trail Attractions, returning to the car park passing the inclusive play park. This is a circular route of 1km and is predominantly flat and smooth.
Renardine Fairytale Trail
The Red route, starting beside the Pomeroy Forest Park Building, this trail leads past 18 of the Fairytale Trail Attractions, including The Castle of Pomeroy and the Panoramic Viewing Point. The trail returns to the car park passing the inclusive play park. This is a circular route of 2.2km mostly flat and smooth with a slight incline from the Last Unicorn to the Children of Lir attractions.
Grace Drennan Eco Trail
The Yellow route, starting behind the new Pomeroy Forest Park building, a coarser gravel trail not as accessible but suitable for walkers and runners. This circular route will take you through the flora and fauna and ecology of the forest with some slight inclines towards the end of the trail.

- Picnic Area - Picnic tables are available within the Courtyard.
- Tea-room/Cafe onsite - Catering including tea, coffee and snacks are available within the Pomeroy Forest building.
Establishment Features
- Toilets - Changing Place, accessible toilets with disabled access and baby changing facilities are available in the new Pomeroy Forest building.
Parking & Transport
- Car parking - Free parking is available on site within the Courtyard and in front of the new Pomeroy Forest. Disabled access parking for cars, coaches and minibuses is available.
