About

Walk on Carntogher Mountain!

In memory of Thomas Cassidy and to raise money for Gaeltacht scholarships for local children learning Irish and ALPS.

Much has been written about Thomas' achievements and everyone locally knows how much Thomas did to forge a vibrant and modern cultural identity for the Carn Tóchair/ Sleacht Néill area – an identity based on his love of family, community, sport, the Irish language, traditional music & dance and local traditions such as the walk to the snout on Palm Sunday.

A very informal event with opportunity to meet friends and family, to keep an important local tradition alive, to reflect on Thomas' life and to raise funds for causes very close to his heart and community.

Donations are welcome in An Carn building or via Paypal @carntogher

The walk will be followed by refreshments in An Coire – Arts Centre

*Parking at Cotters Row mountain carpark, Tirkane Road*
