About

An Coire Arts Centre is a state of the art facility catering for the artistic needs of the local area and surrounding hinterland.

On the ground floor, it consists of a welcoming foyer which is perfect for small functions, music sessions etc. and three other rooms: an Art Studio, a Multi-Media Studio and a Craft Workshop.

On the First floor, An Halla Mór is a multi-purpose space which will seat up to 220 people for concerts, drama, film screenings etc.

With the seating retracted, An Halla Mór provides a flat sprung floor, suitable for a range of uses including keep-fit classes, dancing, art exhibitions.

An Coire Arts Centre provides the perfect setting for the delivery of a wide range of rural bilingual arts including youth, dance, visual, spoken & written and environmental arts plus music/cultural events. Activities are delivered through Irish & English and being based in an area with a strong and vibrant Irish speaking community you will have no trouble finding someone to use your Irish with whether you’re fluent or have a cúpla focal.

Situated at the foot of the Carntogher Mountain, the centre offers a range of facilities and services including An Croí Coffee House,  Siopa An Carn,  An Teach Glas Self Catering, T irkane Post Office and  Meeting & Training Rooms

An Carn provides the hub in which Carntogher Community Association delivers many projects including:  Irish Language, Environmental, Cultural, Voluntary, Training and Art Projects.  The Association also supports a number of social enterprises (listed above) which enhances and supports the local area.

The centre is a popular location for locals and visitors alike. Situated in an area with a strong and vibrant Irish speaking community, you will have no trouble finding someone to use your Irish with whether you’re fluent or have a cúpla focal.
