Get ready to kick off the holiday season with the much anticipated Magherafelt Christmas Lights Switch On Event on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024!

Join us from 2pm to 8pm for a day packed with festive fun for the whole family across two bustling streets in Magherafelt Town Centre.

Market Street (2pm - 7:30pm):

Step into the magical Children’s Christmas Village—a North Pole wonderland filled with fun activities for all ages!

North Pole Show, Elves Workshop & Post Office: Meet Santa’s helpers and get crafty!

Grinch Grotto & Naughty Elves Silent Disco: Where the Grinch meets a twist of holiday mischief!

Free Gaming Bus: For all the gamers wanting a seasonal twist.

Main Stage: Enjoy a lively mix of local talent, carol singers, and entertainment all afternoon.

Face Painting: Get into character with festive designs at the Bank of Ireland.

Broad Street (6:30pm - 8pm):

As evening falls, join us for an exciting Christmas Lights Switch-On & Street Party!

DJ & Games: Dance and play to your favourite holiday tunes.

Walkabout Entertainers: Keep an eye out for interactive performers weaving through the crowd.

Spectacular Fireworks Finale: Watch the sky light up with a 9-minute fireworks display at 7:45pm!

Meadowlane Shopping Centre - Christmas Craft Market - Saturday 23 November from 9am to 6pm

Why not visit the Christmas Craft Market organised by Meadowlane for a festive celebration. Enjoy some local delicious food or browse the unique craft stalls as we all get into the holiday spirit. With 15 food and craft stalls, it’s the perfect chance to find that special Christmas gift from local producers & businesses.
