From 14 – 15 September properties across Mid Ulster will open their doors for FREE as part of European Heritage Open Days, an annual celebration of local architecture, history and culture.
The 2024 theme “Heritage of Routes, Networks and Connections” is based on the notion that society is built on networks that allow for exchange, and the ancient routes once taken. This year gives us the opportunity to further explore these roads, routes and paths of history, it allows us to explore how our local heritage is connected to a wide variety of influences.
Several of Mid Ulster’s historic buildings, monuments, landmarks, and hidden gems will be open to the public, for free and offer a range of events highlighting this year’s theme. There’s never been a better time to visit Mid Ulster!
